Get started with seize in under 5 minutes

Invite seize to your Discord server, grant permissions, and run your first commands in five quick steps. Join the support server for extra help.

This guide walks you through adding seize to your Discord server and verifying that everything works. You do not need any technical background. Most users are up and running in under five minutes.

1. Invite seize

   Click here to invite seize. Choose the server you manage and proceed to the permission screen.

2. Grant permissions

   seize asks for Administrator permissions so every feature works out of the box. If you prefer a narrower scope, make sure the bot has at least Manage Server, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Kick Members, Ban Members, Manage Messages, View Audit Log, and Connect / Speak for voice channels.

3. Check that the bot is online

   Look for seize in your member list. If it shows as online, the bot has joined successfully.

4. Run your first command

   Type ,help in any text channel. seize will reply with a list of command categories you can explore.

5. Set a custom prefix (optional)

   If you want a different prefix from the default comma, run:

   ,prefix set <char>
   

   Prefixes can be up to 5 characters long. To reset back to the default, use ,prefix reset.
